Biography
Anne-Catherine is bringing us some French Flair with a touch of British Eccentricity
Coming from Provence, this part of France, where Marcel Pagnol, van Gogh, Manet, Picasso, or Cézanne were inspired too!
I have in common the love of colors and fragrances surrounding my life in this
countryside, which is now involved in my creations.
After studying history/geography at university in Lyon, I spent a year in experiencing volunteer work and life with down-syndrome persons, which is also inspiring me in the ethic of my business today, and the place of disabled in my surrounding and workshop.
My late vocation for fashion came at 25. I started a new study: fashion design in a private school in London.
Then I directly entered the workshop of Geeves&Hawkes at Savile Row, learning the secret of a perfect ”savoir-faire” where I hand-made suits for Prince Charles, the Sultan of Bruneï, the king of Thaïland and many other wealthy people who gave me the opportunity to make suits by dozen… or simply participate by hand-making my 1st royal wedding dress for: Sophie Countess Wessex, Prince’s Edwards wife!
After a rich experience in haute-couture made in Britain, I went back to France and worked as Collection Director for women’s sportswear… this contrast influenced me to bring a glamorous touch in the daywear, which is now the main line in my collections.
Since 2005, I’ve launched my own brand in the historical Place du Grand Sablon in Brussels.
My collections bring a French touch with a British twist to transform ordinary life into extraordinary events, which makes every women: unique!
